Kyle P. Walker joins Nia Drummond for America at 250 - In Our Voice, a Joe’s Pub performance presented in partnership with YoungArts. Curated by Drummond, the evening highlights Black artists across the diaspora and the musical traditions that have shaped American sound, including spirituals, gospel, jazz, opera, soul, and rock and roll.
Program selections include William Grant Still’s “Give Me No Body without Your Soul” from Blue Steel and the spiritual “Been In De Storm So Long,” arranged by Wayne Sanders.
Doors open at 6:00PM. The performance runs approximately 75 minutes.
